Cancellation & Refund Policy

Thank you for choosing Airport Taxis 24.

We always try to be fair to passengers and drivers.

​

Because we cover airport transfers and long-distance journeys across Ireland, cancellation charges may apply once a driver has been allocated or has started travelling to the pickup location.

All approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Payment-processing fees are non-refundable, as these are charged by the payment provider.

 

1. Early Cancellation

If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup time, you will receive a full refund, minus the non-refundable payment-processing fee.

 

2. Same-Day / Short-Notice Cancellation

  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before pickup, but before the driver has started travelling, a cancellation fee may apply depending on the journey distance, driver allocation, and notice given.​

  • For standard local journeys, we will normally refund the fare minus the payment-processing fee.​

  • For long-distance journeys, airport transfers, early-morning pickups, late-night pickups, or bookings where a driver has been specially allocated, a driver allocation fee may apply.

 

3. Cancellation After Driver Dispatch

  • Once the driver has started travelling to the pickup location, the customer may be charged for the driver’s time, travel, fuel, and any reasonable costs already incurred.​

  • For local journeys, this may be a fixed driver fee.​

  • For long-distance journeys, the cancellation charge may be higher and can be up to the full agreed fare, depending on how far the driver has already travelled and the circumstances of the cancellation.

 

4. No-Show

  • A booking is treated as a no-show if the passenger does not arrive at the pickup location, does not answer calls or messages, and does not cancel the booking in advance.​

  • For local journeys, a no-show fee may apply.​

  • For long-distance journeys, airport transfers, or bookings where the driver has already travelled a significant distance, the full agreed fare may be charged.

  • This is because the driver has already committed time, fuel, and availability to the booking.

 

5. Flight Disruption Exception

  • If your flight is cancelled, significantly delayed, or you miss a connection through no fault of your own, please contact us as soon as possible.​

  • Where valid proof is provided, such as an airline cancellation notice, rebooking confirmation, boarding pass, or flight delay documentation, we will review the booking fairly.​

  • If the driver has not yet been dispatched, we will normally issue a full refund minus the payment-processing fee.​

  • If the driver has already been dispatched or has already arrived for the pickup, reasonable driver costs may still apply.

 

6. How to Cancel

To cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible and include:

  • Booking reference

  • Full name

  • Pickup date and time

  • Pickup location

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are usually issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.

The payment-processing fee is non-refundable.

 

9. Keeping Things Fair

This policy is here to keep cancellations and refunds clear, fair, and reasonable.

We understand that travel plans can change, and where possible, we will refund passengers fairly when bookings are cancelled in good time. Flight disruptions, airline cancellations, missed connections, medical issues, or genuine emergencies may also be reviewed fairly when valid proof is provided.

At the same time, some bookings involve advance planning, driver allocation, travel time, and costs that may already have started before cancellation. In these cases, reasonable cancellation charges may apply.

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or amend your booking. The earlier we are informed, the easier it is to help and keep any cancellation costs to a minimum.
